HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 981, No Ordinance Number981 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORTS OF THE PADUCAH- McCRACKEN COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE ZONING AND/OR REZONING OF PROPERTY WITHIN THE AREA BOUNDED BY JEFFERSON STREET, JOE CLIFTON DRIVE, PARK AVENUE, 32ND STREET, AND THE PADUCAH AND ILLINOIS RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1961 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH ZONING AND/OR REZONING BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That resolutions adopted by the Paducah -McCracken County Planning Commission on May 18, 1966 and June 1, 1966, bearing the titles set forth below, be approved as the final reports of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth: "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH- McCRACKEN COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY IN THE AREA BOUNDED BY PARK AVENUE, JOE CLIFTON DRIVE, JEFFERSON STREET, P & I RAILROAD AND 32ND STREET (AD AMENDED 6-1-66). A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH McCRACKEN COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY ON THE EAST SIDE OF 32ND STREET BETWEEN LEVIN AVENUE AND HARRISON STREET. A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH- McCRACKEN COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY BOUNDED BY JEFFERSON, 30TH, MONROE AND 31ST STREETS" SECTION 2. That the zone classifications of the properties described below shall be, and they are hereby, changed and/or re-established from their present zone classifications to the zone classifications specified: TO R-3 TWO-FAMILY ZONE Beginning at the intersection of the center lines of Joe Clifton Drive and Jefferson Street; thence north with the center line of Joe Clifton Drive to the center line of Trimble Street; thence west with the center line of Trimble Street to the center line of 29th Street; thence north with the center line of 29th Street to a point equidistant from Trimble Street and LaClede Avenue; thence west along the center line of an alley 420 feet, more or less, to the center pe line of another alley; thence south with the center line of the last mentioned alley to the center line of Trimble Street; thence west with the center line of Trimble Street to a point 331.345 feet east of the center line of 30th Street; thence south, parallel with 30th Street, to the center line of Harrison Street; thence west with the center line of Harrison Street to the center line of 30th Street; thence south with the center line of 30th Street to the center line of Monroe Street; thence west with the center line of Monroe Street to the center line of 31st Street; thence south with the center line of 31st Street to the center line of Jefferson Street; thence east with the center line of Jefferson Street to the beginning. 982 TO R-2 ONE -FAMILY ZONE Beginning at the intersection of the center lines of 30th Street and Monroe Street; thence north with the center line of 30th Street to a point equidistant from Clay and Harrison Street; thence west along the center line of an alley, and that line extended, to a point 155 feet east of the east line of 32nd Street, the center line of another alley; thence south along the center line of the last mentioned alley, and that line extended, to the center line of Harrison Street; thence west along the center line of Harrison Street to the center line of 32nd Street; thence south with the center line of 32nd Street to the east line of the Paducah and Illinois Railroad right-of-way; thence south with the said east line of said right-of-way to the center line of Jefferson Street; thence east with the center line of Jefferson Street t6 the center line of 31st Street; thence north with the center line of 31st Street to the center line of Monroe Street; thence east with the center line of Monroe Street to the beginning. R -A MULTIPLE DWELLING ZONE Beginning at the intersection of the center lines of 30th Street and Harrison Street; thence north with the center line of 30th Street to a point equidistant from Clay and Harrison Streets, the center line of an alley; thence west with the center line of said alley, and that line extended, to a point 155 feet east of the east line of 32nd Street, the center line of another alley; thence north with the center line of the last mentioned alley, and that line extended, to the center line of Trimble Street; thence west with the center line of Trimble Street to the center line of Cruse Avenue; thence north with the center line of Cruse Avenue 235 feet, more or less; thence west with the line dividing the properties ofH. B. Clark and Oscar Welch, and that line extended, 240 feet, more or less, to the center line of 32nd Street; thence north with the center line of 32nd Street to the center line of Park Avenue; thence east with the center line of Park Avenue to the east line of the Floodwall right-of-way, extended; thence south with the east line of the Floodwall richt-of-way, extended, 140 feet, more or less, to the line dividing the properties of Earl Harris and Isaac Tharp; thence south with the line dividing Harris and Tharp 62 feet, more or less; thence east, along a line parallel to and 150 feet from, the south line of Park Avenue, 445 feet to the center line of Levin Avenue; thence south with the center line of Levin Avenue 94.5 feet; thence east, parallel with the center line of Park Avenue, 285 feet; thence north, parallel with Crise Avenue, 2.25 feet; thence east, parallel with the center line of Park Avenue, 165 feet to the center line of Cruse Avenue; thence north, along the center line of Cruse Avenue, 275 feet to the center line of Park Avenue; thence east with the center line of Park Avenue to the center line of a 15 foot alley between McGuire Avenue and Joe Clifton Drive; thence south with the center line of said alley to the center line ofTrimble Street; thence west with the center line of Trimble Street to a point 300 feet east of the east line of 30th Street; thence south, parallel with 30th Street, to the center line of Harrison Street; thence west with the center line of Harrison Street to the beginning. TO B-1 NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS ZONE Beginning at a point where tH u $ne dividing the. properties of H. B. Clark and Oscar We1c,J if extended, interesect the center line. of 32nd Street, north of Trimble Street; thence east with the line dividing the properties of Clark and Welch, 240 feet more or less to the center line of Cruse Avenue; thence south with the center line of Cruse Avenue to the center line of Trimble Street; thence east with the center line of Trimble Street, 140 feet, more or less, to the center line of an alley running parallel to 32nd Street; thence south, with the center line of said alley, to the center line of Harrison Street; thence west, with the center line of Harrison Street to the center line of 32nd Street; thence north, with the center line of 32nd Street to the beginning. SECTION 3. That the Paducah Zoning Ordinance -1961 and the map referred to in Section 14 thereof, shall be, and they are hereby, amended to the extent and in the respects necessary to effect and designate the zone classifications provided for in Section 2 hereof. 983 SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be -inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions. SECTION 5. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
