A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR. AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
TO THE CIVIC BEAUTIFICATION BOARD FOR THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY,
A LEASE OF THE MARKET HOUSE BUILDING IN SAID CITY
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed
to execute, on behalf of the City, a lease to the Civic Beautification
Board for the City of Paducah, Kentucky, in words and figures as
follows:
"THIS LEASE made and entered into on this the 15th day of
June, 1966, by and between THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, herein-
after called "Lessor", and the CIVIC BEAUTIFICATION BOARD FOR THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, HEREINAFTER dalled "Lessee".
W I T N E S S E T H:
THAT for and in consideration of the sum of One Dollar ($1.00)
per year, and,subject to the hereinafter terms and conditions,
the Lessor does hereby lease to the Lessee what is known as the
t Market House Building situated on Second Street and between
Broadway and Kentucky Avenue in Paducah, Kentucky.
The term of this lease shall be for a period of one year
from the 15th day of June, 1966, provided, however, said lease
shall 'continue for a period of five years thereafter unless
terminated before said time by operation of law, or by either
party hereto. Notice of termination of this lease by either
party hereto shall be given to the other party at least thirty
(30) days prior to the expiration of any annual period covered
herein.
No part of the leased premises may be underlet, or the term,
in whole or in part, assigned, transferred or set over by the
Lessee without being approved by official action of the Board of
Commissioners of said City.
The Lessee is to pay for all utilities used in connection with
the leased premises and shall be responsible for all ordinary
repairs to said premises.
The execution of this Lease by the Lessor is authorized by
Resolution adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, on the 14th day of June, 1966.

SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after the 15th day of June, 1966.
