A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER
TO REQUEST THE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS OF THE',COMMONVEALTH OF
KENTUCKY, TO CONSTRUCT OR CAUSE .TO BE CONSTRUCTED, A DIVERSION
CHANNEL ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF I-24 HIGHWAY, BEGINNING AT THE
CROSSING OF SAID HIGHWAY WITH THE EAST FORD OF BEE BRANCH, AND
RUNNING INTO CLARKS RIVER
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
directed to request the Department of Highways of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky to construct, or cause to be constructed, a diversion
channel on the south side of I-24 Highway, beginning at the
crossing of said Highway with the east fork of Bee Branch, and
running into Clarks River; the reason for such request being that
such channel would be of creat benefit to the City of Paducah and
to the residents of the area.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
