AN ORDINANCE PROPOSING ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY OF
LOUIS D. MYRE AND WIFE, JANE C. MYRE, LYING ADJACENT TO THE 6VEST
CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, DEFINING
ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF THE TERRITORY TO BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY,
AND DECLARING THE DESIRABILITY AND NECESSITY OF SUCH ANNEXATION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. It is hereby proposed that certain territory
(property of Louis D. Myre and wife, Jane C. Myre) adjacent to the
west corporate limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, more
particularly described hereinafter, be annexed to said city, and
that said property so proposed to be annexed is described as follows:
Beginning at a 4" x 4" x 46" concrete monument
in the northwesterly line of Pines Road, 1026.7
feet northeast of the intersection of the said
northwesterly line of Pines Road and the north-
easterly line of Friedman Lane, which said monu-
ment marks the northeast corner of the property
conveyed by Mrs. Anita P. Flournoy to Dr. Harry
D. Abell and Dr. Burton A. Washburn by deed dated
July 22, 1946, of record in Deed Book 254, page
179, in the office of the Clerk of the McCracken
County Court; thence along and with the line of the
said Abell and Washburn, which, by survey of Hunter
H. Martin, Jr., on October 3, 1952, has been deter-
mined to be as follows: north 47 degrees 27 minutes
west 159.92 feet to a 4" x 4" x 36" concrete monu-
ment; thence north 17 degrees 24 minutes west 257.5
feet to a 4" x L" x 36" concrete monument; thence
north 67 degrees 16 minutes west 274. feet to a
4" x 4" x 36" concrete monument; thence north
22 degrees 44 minutes east 244.91 feet to a 4"
r. 4" x 36" concrete monument marking the inter-
section of the line of the said Abell and Washburn
with the north line of a tract of land conveyed
by Thomas E. Boswell to George A. Flournoy by deed
dated July 22, 1914, of record in Deed Book 104,
page 547, aforesaid Clerk's office; thence along
and with the said north line of the tract conveyed
by Boswell to Flournoy, as aforesaid, and alone the
north line of an adjacent tract conveyed by Thomas
E. Boswell et ux to Anna L. Parham by deed dated
June 3, 1905, of record in Deed Book 69, page
508, aforesaid Clerk's office, south 67 degrees
56 minutes east 772.15 feet to a 1E" x 4" x'36"
concrete monument in the northwesterly line of
Pines Road; thence along and with the said north-
westerly line of Pines Road south 42 decrees 30
minutes west 536.60 .feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. It is hereby declared that extending the boundary
of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, by annexing the property described
in Section 1 hereof is desirable and necessary.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be published in the Sun -Democrat,
a ngwspaper in Iaducah, Kentucky, as provided for and required by Section
1:.21,.130 of Kentucky Revised Statutes, and the extension of the city
limits as herein proposed shall not become effective until the adoption
of an ordinance annexing the property described in Section 1 hereof,
and such ordinance shall not be adopted until after publication of this
ordinance as provided herein and until the expiration of a period of

thirty (30) days after the passage of this ordinance.
Notice is hereby given under the provisions of Section $1.110
of Kentucky Revised Statutes 'that one or more residents or freeholders
of the herein territory proposed to be annexed may, within thirty (30)
days after the enactment of this ordinance, file a petition in the
Circuit Court of McCracken County, Kentucky, setting forth the
reasons why said territory, or any part of it, shall not be annexed.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
