HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 863, No Ordinance Number`i AN ORDINANCE CREATING APiD ESTABLISHIItiG THE POSITION OF STENOGRAPHER FOR THE RECORD ROOM OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, PRESCRIBING THE DUTIES OF SAID POSITION AND FIXING THE RATE OF PAY THEREOF BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That there is hereby created the position of Stenographer for the Record Room of the City of Paducah, Kentucky. SECTION 2. The duties of the person holdinp the position of such stenographer shall be stenographic and clerical work in the Record Room of the City and shall be under the supervision and direction of the Chief of Police or his designated assistant. SEC^_ION 3. The person employed as a stenocrapher under the provisions of this ordinance shall not thereby become a member of the Police Department of the Citv of Paducah; shall not be entitled to any civil service benefits under any law or ordinance; and shall be subiect to removal .from said position at any time by the Board of Commissioners of said City. SECTION 4._ The person occupyinv, the position of Stenographer created by this ordinance shall be paid at the rate of $270.00 per month for the first sir. months of employment; at the expiration of six months $280.00 per month;, at the expiration of one year $290.00 per month and at the expiration of two years $300.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the City Manaper. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after April 1, 1966.
