POLICE DEPARTMENT AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IDI CONFLICT HERE;VITI-I",
t7HICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON AUGUST 5, 1952,
AND AMENDED ON MAY 11, 14()5
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
. SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance containin7 the title
quoted above, which was adopted on Aurust 5, 1952, and amended on blay
11, 1965, be, and the same is berets amended and reordained so that said
section as amended and reordained shall read as follows:
"SECTION 1. The number and rank of members of the Police Depart-
ment of the City of Paducah and their monthly salaries, provided said
salaries are not than -ed by any annual apportionment ordinance hereafter
adopted, shall be as follows:

First Assistant Chief of Police 1 580.00
Second Assistant Chief of Police 1 520.00

Policemen 32 370.00
The Chief of Police shall he paid at the rate of $620.00 per
month for the first six months; at the expiration of six months J630.00
per month; at the expiration of one year $6:40.00 per month and at the
expiration of two gears $650.00 per month, such increases to be made
upon recommendation of the City Manacer.
The Second Assistant Chief shall he paid at the rate of $520.00 per
month for the first six months; at the expiration of six. months $530.00
per month; at the expiration of one near $51,0.00 per month and at the
expiration of two gears x'550.00 per month; such increases to be made
upon recommendation of the City Manarer.
Captains shall he paid at the rate of 5L.70.00 per month .for the
first six months; at the expiration of six months ;480.00 per month;
at the -expiration of one year $L90.00 per month and at the expiration
of two years $500.00 per month, such increases to be made upon
recommendation of the City Manager.

Lieutenants shall he paid at the rate of $430.00 per month for the
first six months, at the expiration of six months $440.00 per month and
at -the expiration of one year °450.00 per month, such increases to be
made upon recoinmendation of the City Mana.rer.
Sergeants shall he paid at the rate of $430.00 per month for the
first six months, at the expiration of six months $440.00 per month and
at the expiration of one year $450.00 per month, such increases to be
made upon recommendation of the City Manarrer.
Policemen shall be paid at the rate of $370.00 per month for the
first six months, at the expiration of six months $380.00 per month;
at the expiration of one year $390.00 per month; at the expiration of
tw�o years $400.00 per month and at the expiration of three years $410.00
per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the City
Manager."
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after -April 1, 196.6.
