AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO OBTAIN A 2001 LOCAL
LAW ENFORCEMENT BLOCK GRANT THROUGH THE U. S. DEPARTMENT OF
JUSTICE FOR USE BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah desires to obtain a matching grant from the U. S.
Department of Justice which funds will be used by the Police Department.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City is hereby authorized and directed to obtain an online 2001
Local Law Enforcement Block Grant through the U.S. Department of Justice for use by the
Police Department in the amount of $37,020.00. The City will provide matching funds in the
amount of $4,113.00 for this grant.

SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to Account No. 040-1616-521-
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
