AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION P -D OF THE "APPOINTIVE EMPLOYEES'
CIVIL SERVICE ORDINANCE", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
ON DECEMBER 2, 191:7 AND AMENDED ON APRIL 27, 1965
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 8-D of the "Appointive Employees'
Civil Service Ordinance", which was adopted by the Board of Com-
missioners on December 2, 19L7, and amended on April 27, 1965, be,
and the same is hereby amended and reordained so that said section
as amended and reordained shall read as .follows:
"SECTION 8 -DL Sub -Section 1. There is hereby authorized and

the salary of each position, provided the amount of such salary is
not changed under any apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted, shall
be as follows:
Position Monthly Salary
Floodwall Superintendent, Head of Department $700.00
Floodwall Foreman 450.00
Floodwall maintenance man (operators) (h positions) 345.00
The Floodwall Maintenance Plan shall he paid at the rate of
5315.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the ex-
piration of six months ''330.00 per month; and at the expiration of
another six months $345.00 Der month, such increase to he made upon
recommendation of the City Manager.
"SubSection 2_ There is hereby authorized and created the
following positions in the Sewage Disposal Department, and the salary
of each position, provided the amount of such salary is not changed
under any apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted, shall be as follows:
Position _ montbly Salary
Chief Operator $450.00
Maintenance Nen 395.00
Operators (3 positions) 3L•5.00
The maintenance Man shall be paid at the rate of 065.00 per
month for the first six months of employment, and at the expiration
of such period, upon recommendation of the City YanaTMer, the salary
of the maintenance Plan shall be raised to $395.00 per month.

The Operators shall be paid at the rate of $315.00 per month
for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months
$330.00 per month; and at the expiration of another six months $345.00
per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the City
Manager.
The Sewage Disposal Department shall be under the management
and control of the Floodwall Superintendent, and the employees of the
Floodwall Department, at his direction, may be assigned to work in the
Sewape Disposal Department, and the employees of the Sewage Disposal
Department, at his direction, may be assigned to work in the Floodwall
Department, but any of such employees so assigned shall keep and main-
tain their civil service rights under the department to which they were
originally assigned."
SECTION 2_ This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption, and shall be retroactive to January 1, 1966.
