AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE 1961 STANDARD FOR INSTALLATION OF
GAS APPLIANCES AND GAS PIPING AS APPROVED BY AMERICAN STANDARDS
ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS Section P2.080 of Kentucky Revised Statutes provides
that the legislative bodies of cities of all classes shall have
power and authority to adopt traffic, building, plumbing and
electric codes by reference, provided that at least five (5) days
notice of the meeting at which same are adopted shall have been
Given in a newspaper published or of eeneral circulation in said
city, and
WHEREAS it is the desire, intent and purpose,of the Board of
Commissioners of the City 6f Paducah, Kentucky, to adopt, by reference,
the aforesaid code, and
WHEREAS the notice required by the above Statute Section was
published in the Sun -Democrat, a newspaper published in and of
general circulation in said City on -December 16, 1965.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMN[ISSIONERS OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the 1964 Standard for Installation of Gas
Appliances and Gas Piping as approved by American Standards Association
is hereby adopted by reference and is made a part of the public
records of said City by this ordinance.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall lie in .full force and effect
from and after its adoption and publication.
