AN ORDINTANCE ADOPTING THE 1965 NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE
AS.PREPARED BY NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION. ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS Section 82.080 of Kentuckv Revised Statutes provides
that the legislative bodies of cities of all classes shall have
power and authority to adopt traffic, building, plumbing and
electric codes by reference, provided that at least five (5) days
notice of the meeting at which same are adopted shall have been
given in a newspaper published or of general circulation in said
city, and
II WHEREAS it is the desire, intent and purpose of the Board of
Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, to adopt, by
I� reference, the aforesaid code, and
I� WHEREAS the notice required by the above Statute Section was

published in the Sun -Democrat, a newspaper published in and of
general circulation in said City on December 16, 1965.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the 1965 National Electrical Code as prepared
by National Fire Protection Association is hereby adopted by reference
and is made a part of the public records of said City by 'this
ordinance.
SECTION 2_ This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption and
