HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 70, No Ordinance Number70/ AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF KENTUCKY ASPHALT SALES COMPANY FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF RC -O TO 5 AND MC -O -TO 5 LIQUID ASPHALT REQUIRED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH DURING THE YEAR 1963; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AND EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF SAID MATERIAL; AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SAID PURCHASE SHALL BE Iv'"IADE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the bid of Kentucky Asphalt Sales Company for the sale to the City of Paducah of all MC -0 to 5 and RC -0 to 5 liquid asphalt required by the City of Paducah during the year 1963 be accepted, and that the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to enter into and execute a contract for the purchase upon the order of said city all of such asphalt to be used during 1963 at the following prices: Liquid asphalt deli-ered by transport with insulated trailers at $0.1254 per gallon, F.O.B. 6th & Campbell Streets Paducah, Kentucky, or to any point designated by the City of Paducah, and by railroad insulated tank car at 10.1260 per gallon, F.O.B. 6th & Campbell Streets, Paducah, Kentucky. Said contract shall also contain all the terms, conditions and specifications contained in a Resolution authorizing the advertisement for bids which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners of said City on April 23, 1963. A guarantee shall be provided against advance in the market price and a Puarantee shall be provided for reduction in price in the event of a decrease in the market price, and said Company shall post a performance bond in the stun of $2,500.00 guaranteeing specifications and delivery. Terms of payment shall be 1% ten (10) days, Net thirty (30) days. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced at a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which ti shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
