HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 612, No Ordinance Number612 / V AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY 14ANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH-f$UNRAY DX OIL COMPANY FOR THE PURCHASE OF ALL REGULAR AND ETHYL GASOLINE, MOTOR OIL, DIESEL FUEL, CHASSIS LUBRICANT, GEAR LUBE OIL, HYDRAULIC OIL, KEROSENE AND ANTI -FREEZE FOR USE BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR THE PERIOD OF TIME FROM JULY 1, 1965 TO DECE14BER 31, 1965, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City ManaFer he, and he is hereby, authorized to enter into a contract, on behalf of the City of Padicah, Kentucky, with Sunray DX Oil Company for purchase of the folloainp supplies for use by the City from Julv 1, 1965 to December 31, 1965: Re7ular gasoline, octane rating 93.7, tank wagon price per Fallon $0.226., discount $0.0559 per gallon. Ethel gasoline, octane rating 99.'7,tank wagon price per Fallon ?;0.279, discount $0.071:2 per gallon. Motor Oil, Best Premium Grade, Detergent H -D (not to be a fleet oil) *0.57 per gallon. First Grade, Detergent H -D $0.15 per Fallon. First Grade, Non -detergent $0.55 per -allon. Diesel, High Detergent $`0.6.5 per Fallon. Hydraulic Oil $O.V per Fallon. Diesel Fuel, No. 2, Tank wagon price per Fallon $0.16, discount $0.051, per f-allon. Chassis Lubricant, all purpose, in 100-120 lb. drums, $0.165 per pound, discount $0.015 per pound. Gear Lube Oil, weight 16.0 and 90, in 100-120 pound drums, $0.13 per pound, discount $0.015 per pound. Kerosene $50.169 per r-allon, discount $0.061 per Fallon. Anti -freeze, permanent type, in Fallon cans, $1.35 per Fallon, discount $0.1:.0 per Fallon. All gasoline furnished to the City will be paid for on or before the 15th day of the month following purchase, and other products furnished to the City will be paid for on or before the 10th day of the month following purchase, at which time the City shall have a discount of one percent (1%) on all motor oils and greases. The City shall not be required to make a deposit on drums but all drums will be returned by the City. The Company will .furnish and install four (L) electrically operated and metered gasoline pumps, necessary tanks and concrete islands, and will furnish one (1) electrically operated and metered diesel pump and underground tank. All prices quoted herein shall be Guaranteed against advance in the market price, and the Company is to guarantee a corresponding reduction in price in the event of a decrease in price. However, in the event a temporary or sub -normal consumer price upon gasoline is put into effect and such price is lower than the established price with discount, the lower price will apply. In the event of fire or other emergency, the Company shall rive twenty-four (24) hour emergency tank truck service to any point in the City, seven (7) days per week. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced at a meeting of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, but it being necessary for the public health and.safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption, Mayor Introduced by the Board of Commissioners June 22,•1965 Adopted by the Board of Commissioners June 30, 1965 Recorded by Sarah Thurman, City Clerk, June 30, 1965. 613
