A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT TO
COOPERATION AGREED'ENT
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah Municipal Housing Commission
(herein called the "Local Authority") and the City of Paducah,
Kentucky (herein called the "Municipality") desire to enter into
an Agreement to its Cooperation Agreement in connection with the
de,!elopment of low -rent housing units pursuant to the United States
Housing Act of 1937, as amended.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Local Authority and the Municipality
enter into an Amentment to its Cooperation Apreement and the Mayor
is hereby authorized to execute the same on behalf of the Municipality
and the City Clerk to attest the same and affix thereto the seal of
the Municipality, said Amendment being in substantially the following
form:
"AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO COOPERATION
AGREE1.1ENT DATED SEPTEMBER 7, 1962, BETWEEN
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND THE
CITY OF PADUCAH MUNICIPAL HOUSING
COMMISSION
"WHEREAS, the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and the City of
Paducah Municipal Housing Commission have heretofore entered into a
Cooperation Agreement dated Septemher 7, 1962, as amended, in
connection with the development of 81,9 units of low -rent housing
which have heen designated Protects No. Ky-6-1, 2, 3, k, 5, 6, 7; and
"WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah,
on May 13, 196F, adopted Resolution declaring a further need for low -
rent housing and approving the application of the City of Paducah
Municipal Housing Commission to the Public Housing Administration
for a Preliminary Loan not to exceed $35,000.00 for surveys, and
planning in connection with the development of 200 additional units
of low -rent housing, and in furtherance of said approval the City of
Paducah Municipal Housing Commission applied to the PHA for said
additional housing units and a Preliminary Loan; and
"WHEREAS, the parties hereto mutually desire to revise and amend the
Cooperation Agreement dated September ?, 1962, as amended, to provide
for the local cooperation necessary to the development and administration
of 200 additional units of low -rent housing, or such lesser amount as
the Public Housing Administration shall approve by the issuance of a
further Program Reservation, or Reservations.
"NOW THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed that the Cooperation
Agreement dated September 7, 1962, as amended, shall be and the same
is hereby amended by deleting all of Section 2 thereof and substituting
therefor the following:
12. The Local Authority shall endeavor (a) to secure a contract
or contracts with the PHA for loans and annual contributions
covering one or more Projects comprising approximately 106.9
units of low -rent housing and (b) to develop and administer
such Froiect or Pro iects, each of which shall be located
within the corporate limits of the Municipality. The obliga-
tions of the parties hereto shall apply to each such Project.?
"IN WITNESS WHEREOF the parties hereto have respectively executed
this agreement as of the day of 1965.

SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
