A RESOLUTION REQUESTING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF ONE COMPLETE FACTORY BUILT
AUTOMATIC UNDERGROUND SEWERAGE PUMP STATION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COD1NiISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
W* I PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
and directed to advertise for bids for the installation of one complete
factory built automatic under -round sewerage pump station placed on
ob site b,. the City, and to construct wet well, electric service line,
four (1) inch cast iron suction and discharge lines, all as shown
on specifications and plans prepared by the Engineerine Department
of the City and on .file in the office of the City Manager.
SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for bids by posting
a notice at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the invitation
for bids in the Sun -Democrat to be published at least one (1) time not
less than seven days nor more than twenty-one days before the date fixed
for the opening of bids. No hid shall be received after the hour fixed
in the notice for the opening of same. All bids received up to the
time .fixed in the notice for the opening_ of same shall he filed with the
Board of Commissioners who may let a contract to the lowest and best
bidder and said Board shall reserve the right to reject any or all bids,
to waive informalities in the hiddin^, and the City shall not become
le,ally obligated to anv bidder until the adoption of an ordinance
authorizing the execution of a contract.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
