AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF PRESLEY PLUMBING AND HEATING
COMPANY, INC. FOR FURNISHING ALL MATERIAL AND WORK FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF SEWER EXTENSIONS FOR THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY (HINKLEVILLE ROAD -
BIG BURLEY 14ART 1965) IN SAID CITY, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE A CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY FOR SAID MiATERIAL AND WORK,
PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SAID CONTRACT, AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST
WHEREAS the City of Paducah, Kentucky advertised for bids for
material and work for the construction of sewerage extensions for
said City (Hinkleville Road - Bir Burley Mart 19(-.,5), and
WHEREAS bids were submitted by contractors for said material and
work in accordance with the "SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
SEWERAGE EXTENSIONS FOR THE CITY OF PADUCAH, McCRACKEN COUNTY, KENTUCKY"
(Hinkleville Road - Bip Burley Mart 1965) which were prepared by
Edward T. Hannan & Associates, Inc., Consultinp Enpineers of Paducah,
Kentucky, under date of June 1, 1965, and
WHEREAS the lowest bid for said material and work was in the
amount of Forty-five Thousand Eipht Hundred Fifty -.four & 50/100
Dollars (1,5,851:..50) and was submitted by Presley Plumbinp &. Heating Company,
Inc. of Paducah, Kentucky.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, subject to the
conditions hereinafter set out, accept the bid of Presley Plumbinp &
He.atinp Company, Inc. in the amount of Forty-five Thousand Eipht Hundred
Fifty-four & 50/100 Dollars M5,851..50) for the construction of sewerage
extensions for said City (Hinkleville Road - Rip Burley Mart 1965)
subject to all the terms and conditions contained in the documents on
which said bidder based its bid for said material and work, such documents
having been prepared under date of June 1, 196r by Edward T. Hannan &
Associates, Inc., Consultinp Engineers of Paducah, Kentucky, entitled "SPECI-
FICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SEWERAGE EXTENSIONS FOR THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, McCRACKEN COUNTY, KENTUCKY" (Hinkleville Road - Rip Burley Mart
1965).
SECTION 2. Acceptance of the bid of Presley Plumbinp & Heatinp
Company, Inc. as set out in Section 1 hereof shall he conditioned
upon the following:
(a) Proper execution of all contract documents by said bidder.
(b) Approval of the aforesaid plans and specifications by
Kentucky Water Pollution Control Commission.
(c) The receipt; of all necessary construction permits .from
the Department of Iliphways of the State of Kentucky.

(d) Obtaininr• by theCity of anv necessary easements.
SECTION 3_ Upon the approval by the Corporation Counsel of all
bonds and contract documents in connection herewith, and the fulfill-
ment of the conditions set out in Section 2 hereof, the City Manager
of the aforesaid Citv is hereby authorized to execute said contract
for and on behalf of said City.
SECTION l;. All sums of money to be paid to the aforesaid Presley
Plumbinr, & Heating Company, Inc. shall be paid from the Public -'forks
Cumulative Reser-e Fund of the City.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on
file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed
form in which it shall he put upon its final passage, but it being
necessary .for the public health and safety, an emergency is hereby
declared and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
