HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 586, No Resolution Number58 / A RESOLUTION AMENDING SECTION 1 OF A RESOLUTION ENTITLED: "A RESOLUTION PROPOSING AN ADJUSTMENT IN THE HOURS OF BUSINESS AND EMPLOYMENT OF VARIOUS ESTABLISHMENTS, FIRMS, PERSONS AND CORPORATIONS", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON APRIL 20, 1965 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 1 of a Resolution containing the title quoted above, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on April 20, 1965, be, and the same is hereby amended so that said section as amended shall read as follows: "SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners of said city rec- ommends and urges all citizens of said city, churches, business and commercial establishments, theaters, factories and all other persons, firms and corporations therein, to regulate and adJust their hours of business, employment and convening to one hour earlier than usual during the period of time from 2:00 o'clock A.M. on the last Sunday in April, 1965 to 2:00 o'clock A.M. on the last Sunday in October of said year, so that the system of time in said City of Paducah during such period shall conform as nearly as it may do under the law to the system of Dayliaht Saving Time, as in effect in other localities, and that in each year hereafter such voluntary advancement of one hour over Central Standard Time may he in effect in the said City of Paducah during corresponding periods, and that in order to avoid confusion and to promote the orderly conduct of business, the afore- mentioned citizens of said City of Paducah, churches, business and commercial establishments, theaters, factories and all other persons, firms and corporations advance their clocks by one hour during_ said designated period."
