HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 578, No Ordinance Number578 ✓ AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF PADUCAH RECAPPING SERVICE FOR FURNISHING THE CITY OF PADUCAH WITH ITS REQUIREMENT OF NEW AUTOMOBILE AND TRUCK TIRES FOR THE PERIOD OF TIME FROM JUNE 1, 1965 TO DECEMBER 31, 1965, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AND EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the bid of Paducah Recapping Service for furnishing the City with its requirement of new automobile and truck tires for the period of time from June 1, 1965 to December 31, 1965, under the following terms and conditions: The tires so furnished shall be first line new tires, manufactured by the Seiberling Rubber Company with.current manufacturer's tread, and the price for such tires shall be the net price to the Commonwealth of Kentucky, less discounts of 100, 5% and 3%. All purchases shall be subject to the 3% Kentucky Sales Tax. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into and execute a contract for the purchase of said tires under said terms and conditions. SECTION 2. Nothing in this ordinance or the contract authorized herein shall preclude the City of Paducah from purchasing.used tires or civil defense surplus tires from any source other than the herein Paducah Recapping Service. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be intrdduced at a meeting of the Board ofCommissioners and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten .(10) days thereafter..
