HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 569, No Resolution NumberW L A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR:'THE SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE (1) CRAWLER FRONT END LOADER, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE PURCHASE THEREOF BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and requested to advertise for bids for the purchase by the City of one (1) new Crawler Front End Loader to have the following minimum specifications: 4 Cylinder, 4 Circle, Net 100 - H.O. Diesel Engine with 24 volt direct electric push button starting system. Armoured core radiator, Pusher type fan. Dry type Air Cleaner, Fuel pressure, Oil pressure, water temperature and Ammeter Cauges, Hour Meter. Power Shift (2) Speed forward and reverse, transmission single stage torque converter. Hydraulic Power Steering and Power Brakes. Tracks to have 15 inch semi grouser shoes and (6) lower roller truck frame. Positive sealed and permanently lubricated truck wheels. Support rollers and idlers with timken bearings Full truck frame guard consist of heavy duty truck wheel guards, idlers and sprocket guards. Full engine and transmission bottom guards Hood side plates, drawbar and counterweight 1=3/1,. cu. yd. S.A.E. rated, bucket to be same width as Tractor. 9 feet clearance under bucket in full dump position Chrome plated life and dump cylinder rods. Full set of heavy duty bucket teeth with replaceable type tips. Colors and lettering to be specified Operating and parts manuels to be delivered with the Loader. Each bidder shall state the amount he will accept in cash for the purchase of the loader he offers for sale, and also the amount of such purchase price to be allowed by accepting as a trade-in one (1) 1960 Caterpillar 955 Traxcavator Erid Loader with 1-1/2 cu. yd. Bucket. Each bidder shall include in his bid all applicable taxes including, but not limited to, Kentucky Sales Tax, and shall state the approximate length of time required for delivery after a purchase contract is awarded. SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for sealed bids by posting a notice at the City Hall door and by inserting: notice of the request for bids in the Sun -Democrat to be published not less than seven days nor more than twenty-one days nor more than twenty-one day before the date fixed for the opening of bids. All bids shall be sealed and no bid 569 570 shall be received after the hour fixed for the opening of same. All bids received by the City Manager up to the time fixed in the notice for thej opening of same shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let j i a contract to the lowest and best bidder, and the Board of Commissioners shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids and the City shall not become legally obligated to any bidder until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the execution of a purchase contract. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect I from and after its adoption.
