HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 551, No Ordinance NumberAPI ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 7, 7-A, 8-A, 8-B, 8-C, 8-D AND 9 OF THE "APPOINTIVE EMPLOYEES CIVIL SERVICE ORDINANCE", WHICH .'IAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON DECEMBER 2, 1917, AND AMENDED ON,JANUARY 22, 1963, June 11, 1963, DECEMBER 3, 1963, AND JULY 21, 1961• BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: .SECTION 1. That Sections 7, 7-A, 8-A, 8-B, 8-C, 8-D and 9 of. the "Appointive Employees' Civil Service Ordinance", which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on December 2, 1947, and .amended on.January 22, 1963, June 11, 1963, December 3, 1963, and Julv 21, 196., be, and they are hereby amended and reordained so that said sections as amended and reordained shall read as follows: "SECTICN 7. There is hereby created and authorized the fol- lowinr positions in the Department of Finance, and the salary of each position, provided the amount of such salary is not changed under anv apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted shall he as follows: Position Finance Director, Head of Department (To be known also as Citv Treasurer) Auditor Bookkeeper. Senior Clerk (2 positions) (formerlv Depute Treasurer) Clerk -Stenographer Machine Operator Clerk-t-rpist No.. 1 (1 position) Salary Per Month $620.00 315.00 300.00 275.00 265.00 2"5.00 240.00 Clerk -typist No. 2 (1 position) 240,00 License Inspector 375,00 The Clerk-tvpist No. 2 shall he paid at the rate of $210.00 per month for the first six months -,and at the expiration of six months $'220.00 per month; and at the expiration of another six months $230.00 per month; and at the expiration of another six months 4S240.00 per month; such increases to 1,e made upon recommendation of the City Manager". There is hereby authorized and created the following positions in the Sewape Disposal Department, and the salary of each position, provided the amount of such salary is not changed under anv apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted, shall be as follows: Position PSonthly Salary Chief Operator '.L10.00 Maintenance 7Aen 395.00 Operators (3 positions) 315.00 The P.,aintenance Man shall be paid at the rate of $365.00 per month for the first six months of employment, and at the expiration of such period, upon recommendation of the City 14anafer, the salary of the Plaintenance Plan shall be raised to 09c.00 per month. The Operators shall 1-.e paid at the rate of $315.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months x330.00 per month; and at the expiration of another six months $3L5.00 per month, such increases to 're made upon recommendation of the City Manager. The Sewage Disposal Department shall he under the -management and control of the Floodwall Superintendent, and the employees of the Floodwall Department, at }-is direction, ma.,, be assigned to work in the Sewage Disposal Department, and the employees of the Seware.Disposal Department, at his direction, mar he assirned to work in the Floodwall Department, but any of such employees so assigned shall keep and maintain their civil ser1rice rights under the department to which they were originalli, assi,ned. / "SECTIO'N 9.
