HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 549, No Ordinance Number51z AN ORDINANCE AT,%NDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE NUP`:1BER, RANKS AND MONTHLY SALARIES OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH", 101HICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COP'!P?ISSIONERS ON AUGUST 5, 1952 AND AMENDED ON JULY 21, 19EG BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance containing the title -quoteri abo,re, which was adopted on August 5, 1952, and amended on July 21, 190,, be, and the same is hereby amended and reordained so that said Section as mended and reordained shall read as follows: "SECTION 1. The number and rank of members of the Police Depart- ment of the City of Faducah and their monthly salaries, provided said salaries are not changed tv an,.- annual apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted, shall be as follows: _Position Number of Positions Monthly Salary Chief of -Police 1 $51-5.00 First Assistant Chief of Police 1 L55.00 Second Assistant Chief of Police 1 155,00 Chief Detective 1 455.00 Police Captain 1; 1.10.00 Detecti-e Captain 1 410.00 Detecti`:re Lieutenant 1 375.00 Police Lieutenant 1: 375.00 Serreant ? 360.00 Ser-eant Detective 2 360.00 Policemen ,O 345.00 Pro-ided, however, that any policeman hereafter appointed, durin- his first near of service shall receive a salary Of 4315,00 per month and upon completion of a year of satisfactory service as determined by the City Pianarer on recommendation of the Police Chief, his monthly salary shall be increaser] to $321,00 for the second year of service, and upon completion of a second rear of satisfactory service as determined by the Citv 1.1anarer on recommendation of the Police Chief, his monthly salary shall be increased to the sum of $3L5.00," SECTION 2_ All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
