. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED:
"AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE NUMBER, RANKS AND MONTHLY SALARIES OF
THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH",
WHICH ;WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON DECEMBER 11, 1951,
AND AI -ENDED ON JULY 21, 1961,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COM'1vIISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1_ That Section 1 of an ordinance containing the title
quoted ahove, which was adopted on December 11, 1951, and amended on
July 21, 1961, be, and the same is hereby amended and reordained so
that said section as amended and reordained shall read as follows:
"SECTION 1. Tie -number and rank of the members of the Fire De-
partment of the City of Paducah and their monthly salaries, provided
said salaries are not chanred by anv annual apportionment ordinance
hereafter adopted shall he as -follows:

Frovided, however, that anv fireman hereafter appointed, during his
first Year of hervice spall receive a salary of $315.00 per month and
upon completion of a Year of satisfactory ser -rice as determined by the
Citv I,tanager on recommendation of the Fire Chief, his monthly salary
shall ?-.e increased to 832r.00 for the second ,,ear of ser, -ice, and upon
completion of the second vear of satisfactory service as determined by
the Citv Manager on recommendation of the Fire Chief, his monthly salary
shall be increased to the sum od .3V.00".
SECTION_?. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall 'cue in full force and effect from
and after Ma-,, 1, 196c.
