A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, ASSURING THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND THE
HOUSING AND HOME FINANCE AGENCY THAT SAID BOARD WILL COMPLY WITH THE
RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE HOUSING AND HOME FINANCE AGENCY EFFECTUATING
TITLE SIX OF THE CIVIL RIGHTS ACT OF 1966
WHEREAS on or about January 2P,, 1963, the Housing and Home
Finance Agency of the United States of America offered a grant to the
Citv of Paducah, Kentuck«, to -apply on the construction of a new City
Hall huildinr, said proiect being known as APW Ky-1.4G, and
WHEREAS said grant offer was accepted by the City of Paducah on
February L, 1963, and
WHEREAS the Housing and Home Finance Agency, through the Acting
Regional Director of Community Facilities has requested that the
Legislative Body of the Citv adopt a Resolution assuring the United States
of America and the Housing and Home Finance Administrator that the
governinr body of the City Five full compliance with the Rules and
Regulations of the Housing and.Home Finance Agency effectuating Title
Six of the Civil Rights Act of 1961.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the United States of America and the Housing and
Home Finance Administrator be, and they are hereby, assured by the Board
of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky of .full compliance
with the Rules and Regulations of the Housing and Home Finance Agency
effectuating Title Six of the Civil Rights Act of 196L.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, directed
to forward to the Actinr Director of Community Facilities of Housing
and Home Finance Agency, Altanta Georgia, a certified copy of this Resolu-
tion.
SECTION 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
