AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE POSITION OF TELEPHONE
OPERATOR AND INFORMATION CLERK, PRESCRIBING THE DUTIES OF SAID
POSITION AND FIXING THE RATE OF PAY THEREOF
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby established the position
of Telephone Operator and Information Clerk for the City of Paducah,
Kentucky at the new City Hall building.
SECTION 2. The person holding said.position shall operate
the switchboard equipment and furnish information to any member of
the public appearing at said office. Also the person holding said
position shall perform any services -for the Finance Department of
the City as may be directed and authorized by the City Manager,
providing the same does not interfere with the proper performance
of.the regular duties..
SECTION 3. The person occupying the position of Telephone
Operator and Information Clerk shall be paid at the rate of $2!,0.00
per month for the first six months; at the expiration of six months
$250.00 per month; at the expiration of another six months $260.00
per month; and at the expiration of another six months $270.00 per
month; such increases to be made upon recommendation of the City
Manager. The position created by this ordinance shall not be under
Civil Service.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption and shall be retroactive to February 15,
1965.
