ORDINANCE NO. 2001-7- 63
AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING AN AGREEMENT EXECUTED
BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND THE HOUSING
AUTHORITY OF PADUCAH FOR COMMUNITY LIAISON
OFFICER
WHEREAS, Paducah Housing Authority (PHA) has received funding
through the 2000 Capital Fund Program to perform management improvements within
and upon Housing Authority of Paducah properties for the health, safety and general
welfare of all tenants; and
WHEREAS, the PHA and the City have identified the need for greater
interaction between the PHA and the City of Paducah Police Department and have agreed
to the establishment of the position of Community Liaison Officer (CLO); and
WHEREAS, the PHA and the City have reached an oral understanding
regarding the rights and obligations of the parties regarding the CLO; and
WHEREAS, the parties have been performing pursuant to their oral
understanding, but desire to reduce said understanding to writing.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah hereby ratifies the Agreement executed
by the Mayor between the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and the Housing Authority of
Paducah formally establishing a Community Liaison Officer.
SECTION 2. Due to time constraints by the Department of Housing and
Urban Development, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall
become effective immediately with one reading.
