AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
CONTRACT WITH GULF OIL CORPORATION FOR THE PURCHASE OF ALL REGULAR AND
ETHYL GASOLINE, FOR USE BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR THE PER-
IOD OF TIME FROM JANUARY 1, 1965 TO JUNE 30, 1965, AND PRESCRIBING
THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SAID PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, author-
ized to enter into a contract, on behalf of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, with Gulf Oil Corporation for the purchase of the following
supplies for use by the City from January 1, 1965 to June 30, 1965
Good Gulf Gasoline, octane rating 93, normal tank wagon price
$,24LO per gallon, discount $.0559 per Fallon. No-Nox Gasoline, -
octane rating 100+, $,2790 per Fallon, discount $.0742 per Fallon.
In the event a temporary or subnormal consumer price is put into
effect(nand.such price is lower than the established price with discount,
the lower price will apply.
All products furnished to the City will be paid for net thirty
(30) days.
The Company will furnish and install four (4) electrically
operated and metered gasoline pumps, necessary tanks and concrete
islands.
All prices quoted above shall be Ruaranteed against advance in
the market price, and the Company, except as otherwise provided here-
in, is to guarantee a corresponding reduction in price in the event of
a decrease of any of the above items.
In the event of fire or other emergency, the Company shall
agree to Five twenty-four hour emergency tank truck service to any
point in the City seven days per week.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced at a meeting of
the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at lease one (1)
week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall
be put upon its final passage, and shall be in full force and effect
09 ten (10) days after its adoption.
