HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 315, No Ordinance Number31� AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF DELTA REFINING COMPANY FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF TYPES MC -0 TO 5 AND RC -O TO 5 LIQUID ASPHALT REQUIRED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH DURING THE YEAR L964, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AND EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF SAID I=":ATERIAL, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the bid of Delta Refining Company for sale to the City of Paducah, Kentucky of types MIC - 0 to 5 and RC - 0 to 5 liquid asphalt required by the City during the year 1964, be accepted, and tht City Iianarer is hereby authorized to enter into and execute a contract for the purchase, upon the order of the City, of all such asphalt to be used during the year 1964, said contract to contain the following terms and specifications: Orders are to be placed b� collect telephone call to the Seller and delivery to be made by transport truck with insulated trailer within twenty-four hours after order. All asphalt must meet Kentucky State Highway specifications. The prices to be paid for such asphalt shall be 160.1240 per Fallon for type AiC - 0 to 5 and $0.1241 per Fallon for type FC - 0 to 5. Said contract shall also contain all the terms, conditions and covenants contained in the resolution authorizinl- the advertisement for bids which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners of said City on Play 12, 1964. A guarantee shall be provided against advance in the market price and a guarantee shall be provided for reduction in price in the event of a decrease in the market price, and the Seller shall post a performance bond in the amount of $2,500.00 guaranteeing specifications and delivery. SECTION 2_ This ordinance shall be introduced at a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
