HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 30, No Ordinance NumberAN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, BY ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY OF LOUIS D. MYRE AND WIFE, JANE C. MYRE, LYING ADJACENT TO THE WEST CORPORATE LIMITS OF SAID CITY, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF SAID PROPERTY TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS WHEREAS, under an ordinance adopted January 22, 1963, the City of Paducah, Kentucky, by and through its Board of Commissioners, proposed to extend the boundary of the City by annexing certain property of Louis D. Myre and wife, Jane C. Myre, lying adjacent to the west corporate limits of said city, which property is hereinafter more particularly described, and WHEREAS, said ordinance proposing such annexation and declaring the desirability of same has been published in the Sun -Democrat, a newspaper published and distributed in the City of Paducah, Kentucky as provided and reo_uired by KRS 424.130(1) (b), and WHEREAS, a period of more than thirty (30) days has elapsed since the enactment of the aforesaid ordinance, and WHEREAS, no petition or complaint has been filed in the McCracken Circuit Court protesting such extension of the city limits. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described property of Louis D. Myre and wife, Jane C. Myre, be annexed to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, the same being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a 4" x 4" x 36" concrete monument in the northwesterly line of Pines Road, 1026.7 feet northeast of the intersection of the said northwesterly line of Pines Road and the north- easterly line of Friedman Lane, which said monu- ment marks the northeast corner of the property conveyed by Mrs. Anita P, Flournoy to Dr. Harry D. Abell and Dr. Burton A. Washburn by deed dated July 22, 1946, of record in Deed Book 254, page 179, in the office of the Clerk of the McCracken County Court; thence along and with the line of the said Abell and Washburn, which, by survey of Hunter H. Martin, Jr., on October 3, 1952, has been deter- mined to be as follows: North 47 degrees 27 minutes west 159.92 feet to a 4" x 4" x 36" concrete monu- ment; thence north 17 degrees 24 minutes west 257.5 feet to a 4" x 4X x 36" concrete monument; thence north 67 degrees 16 minutes west 274 feet to a 4" x 4" x 36" concrete monument; thence north 22 degrees 44 minutes east 244.91 feet to a 4" x 4" x 36" concrete monument marking the inter- section of the line of the said Abell and Washburn with the north line of a tract of land conveyed by Thomas E. Boswell to George A. Flournoy by deed dated July 22, 1914, of record in Deed Book 104, page 547, aforesaid Clerk's office; thence along and with the said north line of the tract conveyed by Boswell to Flournoy, as aforesaid, and along the north line of an adjacent tract conveyed by Thomas E. Boswell et ux to Anna L. Parham by deed dated June 3, 1905, of record in Deed Book 69, page 508, aforesaid Clerk's office, south 67 degrees 56 minutes east 772,15 feet to a 4" x 4" x 36" 31) concrete monument in the northwesterly line of Pines Road; thence among and with the said north- westerly line of Pines Road south 42 degrees 30 minutes west 536.60 feet to the point of beginning.
