FURNISHING, THE CITY WITH READY MIX CONCRETE FOR A -PERIOD OF SIX (6) J.ONTHS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE,BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Citv Vllanafer be;, and he' is hereby,
authorized -to advertise for bids for furnishing the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, with its requirement of ready mix concrete for a period of
six (6) months.'
Concrete shall meet reasonable standards for the mix ordered,
otherwise it will be refected. The City will not be held liable for
any rejected material.
The successful bidder will deliver concrete on order at the
specified time and place within the city limits.
The'successful bidder; upon request of the City Manager, shall
run a cylinder test upon his product.
Any contract for furnishing of ready mix,concrete,to the City
shalt be for a period of ,six (6) months -from the date of such contract,
and the City's requirement for such six (6) month period is estimated a.,

SECTION 2. The.City!ranarer shall advertise for sealed bids by
posting a notice at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the
request for bids in the.Sun Democrat as provided .for by law. All bids
shall he sealed anJ no ?,id shall be received after the hour fixed in
the notice for the openin7 of same. All hids.received by the City
Manager up to the time fined in the notice for the opening of same
shall.he filed :eith the Board of Commissioners who may let a contract
to the lowest and 'nest bidder, and the Board of Commissioners shall
reserve the right to refect any and all bids and the City shall not
become lefall,, obligated to purchase said .products until the adoption of
an ordinance authorizin!* the execution of a purchase contract.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
