HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 278, No Ordinance NumberAN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH-McCRACKEN COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY ON THE TEST SIDE OF 31ST STREET BETWEEN ADAMS STREET AND JCAKSON STREET, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1961 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a Resolution adopted by the Paducah';cCracken County Planning Commission on April 1, 196L, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH-McCRACKEN COUNTY PLANNING COi-7-:ISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE ["TEST SIDE OF 31ST STREET BET:•iEKN ADAMS STREET AND JACKSON STREET", be approved as the final report of said Commission respectinP the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That the zone classification of the following propert,r be, and it is hereh-, chanted from R-2 One Family Zone to B-3 General Business Zone: Be'Finning at the intersection of the center line of Adams Street with the center line of 31st Street: thence in a westerly direction with the center of Adams Street 312.3L feet more or less to the east line of the Horace and Richard Terrell tract; thence followin^ the center line of Adams Street with its turn in a southerly direction, then in a westerly direction, then in a southerly direction, to the center line of Adams Street where it turns west toward the Lone Oak Road: thence eastwardly with the center line of Adams to its intersection with the center line extended of an 11.5 foot alley which lies between the lot of F. A. Farmer and the lots of Mary Melber and Gus T. Smith; thence with the center line of the 11.5 foot alle7 south:•rardly to the center line of a 15 foot alley which runs westwardly toward the Lone Oak Road; thence eastwardly six (6) feet more or less to the westerly line of the Gus T. Smith lot: thence with, Smith's west line southwardly 100.5 feet more or less to the southwest corner of the Gus T. Smith lot; thence eastwardly with Smith's south line 261.8 feet more or less to the center of 31st Street; thence northwardly with the center of 31st Street 525.79 feet to the beginning. SECTION 3. That the Paducah Zoning Ordinance -1961 and the Maps referred to in Section 11: thereof, be, and they are hereby, amended to the extent and in. the respects necessary to effect and designate the change pro-!ided for in Section 2 hereof. SECTION 1.. That if any section, parae-raph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to he inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section., paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions.
