HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 276, No Resolution Number276 / A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR FURNISHING THE CITY OF PADUCAH WITH ITS REQUIREMENT OF AUTO AND TRUCK TIRES FOR THE YEAR 1964 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1_ That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to advertise for bids for furnishing the City of Paducah, Kentucky, with its requirement of auto and truck tires for the ,year 1964 for the sizes and estimated quantities as follows: Approvimate Number --- 1 1:.00 x. 8 L ply Tube type 2 6.00 x 9 4 ply Tube Type 2 6.00 x 15 L. ply Tibeless 2 6.50 x. 13 L. SECTION 2. The City Manas-er shall advertise .for sealed bids by postinc a notice at the Cit,.,, Hall door and by inserting notice of the request for bids in the Sun Democrat as provided for by law. All bids shall be sealed and no bid shall 'e received after the hour fixed in the notice .for the opening of same. All kids received ry the Cit,"> T"anarer up to the time fixed in t};e notice for the openinP of same shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let a contract to the lowest and 'est ridder, and the Board of Commissioners shall 277 reserve the right to reject any and all bids and the City shall not become lepally obligated to purchase said products until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the execution of a purchase contract. SECTION3_ This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption. %.
