A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE TO THE
CIVIC BEAUTIFICATION BOARD FOR THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, A LEASE ON CERTA
SPACE 'WITHIN THE MARKET HOUSE BUILDING AT SECOND STREET AND BROADWAY IN SAID
CITY
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COP94ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1, That the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, he, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to
execute, on behalf of the City, a Lease to the Civic Beautification Board
for the City of Paducah, Kentucky, in words and figures as follows:
"THIS LEASE made and entered into on this the
day of _ ,_1964, by and between the CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY, HEREINAFTER CALLED "Lessor", and the CIVIC BEAUTIFICATION
BOARD FOR THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, hereinafter called "Lessee".
41 I T N E S S E T H :
. "THAT for and in consideration of the sum of One.bollar
($1.00) per year, and subject to the hereinafter terms and con-.
ditions, the Lessor does hereby lease to the Lessee certain space
within the Market House huildinr at Second Street and Broadway in
Paducah, Kentucky, said space bei.nfi the full width of the Market
House and extending a distance of 136 feet from the outside edge
of the Kentucky Avenue wall northwardly towards Broadway.
"The term of this. lease shall be for a period of one (1)
year .from the 1st day of Tay, 1961, provided, however, said
lease shall continue for a period of five (5) years from said date un-
less terminated before said time by operation of .law or by either party
hereto. Notice of termination of this lease by either party hereto
shall be given to the other party at least thirty (30) days
prior to the expiration of any annual period covered herein.
The execution of this lease by the Lessor is authorized
resolution adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Paducah on the _ day of _ _ _ _1964.
