HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 244, No Ordinance Number244 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF WALTER GREGORY AND WIFE, LURLENE GREGORY, FOR THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY; AUTHORIZING SUCH SALE TO THEM, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A DEED OF CONVEYANCE THERETO BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH; KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the offer of Walter Gregory and wife, Lurlene Gregory, in the amount of $400.00 for the purchase of the following property owned by said City and situated therein, described as follows: Being Lots 11 and 12 in Block 6 in Whittemore's West End Addition, fronting 50 feet each on Tennessee Street and extending back 165 feet to an -.alley. Being the same land conveyed to the City of Paducah by deed dated February 21, 1942, and of record in Commissioner's Deed Book 11, page 144 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's Office. SECTION 2. Upon payment of the aforesaid sum of $400.00 to the City Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, a deed conveying said property to said purchasers in survivorship, with no warranty as to title and subject to any state of facts that might be shown by an accurate survey. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
