AN ORDINANCE CLOSING THE ALLEYS IN BLOCK 15 OF HUGHES
SUBDIVISION, AND A PORTION OF PALMER STREET IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, does hereby
authorize the closing of the following alleys and a portion of
Palmer Street.
A 15 foot alley in Block 15 of Hughes
Subdivision extending from the north side
of the Beltline Highway to the south line
of what was known as Sowell Street before
said Sowell Street was closed, and also
the 15 foot alley in said Block between the
Beltline Highway and said Sowell Street
and extending from the last mentioned alley
eastwardly to the east line of said Block 15.
All of that portion of Palmer Street extending
from the northeast line of Maggie Street
northwesti;rardly a distance of 158 feet.
SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, be, and he is hereby, authorized and empowered
to institute and prosecute, pursuant to KRS 94.360, an action
in the McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing
of the alleys and street described in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
