HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 239, No Ordinance Number239 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUIT CLAIDi DEED ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, TO RALFH BRINDLEY AND WIFE, IVA BRINDLEY WHEREAS, on September 22, 1930, T. A. Miller, Master Commissioner, conveved a certain tract of land to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and WHEREAS, the description contained in said deed was incorrect and described the wrone parcel of land, and WHEREAS the City has no interest whatsoever in said tract as described, but that said deed to it casts a cloud upon the title. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, a Quit Claim deed to Ralph Brindley and wife, Iva Brindley, conveying all the interest of said City in and to the following tract of land situated in Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky, to -wit: Beginning 244 feet northwest from the northwest intersection of Meyers and Farley Streets and on the south side of Meyers Street; thence northwest towards Island Creek 19.65 feet; thence at right an7les with Meyers Street 155.5 feet; thence at right angles and southeast 19.65 feet; thence at right angles and northeast 155 feet to the point of beginning on the south side of Meyers Street. Being the same land conveyed to City of Faducah by T. A. Miller, Master Commissioner, by deed dated September 22, 1930, and of record in Commissioner's Deed Book 7, page 5$5 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office. This deed of conveyance shall contain no covenant of warranty of any kind and shall only quit claim the interest of the City in and to said land. SECTION 2.
