HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 138, No Ordinance Number138/ AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH-McCRACKEN COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF PINES ROAD BEWEEN THE ILLINOIS CENTRAL RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY (P & I RAILROAD) AND CENTRAL AVENUE, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1961 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a Resolution adopted by the Paducah -McCracken County Planning Commission on September 18, 1963, entitled: "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH-McCRACKEN COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF PINES ROAD BETWEEN THE ILLINOIS CENTRAL RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY (P & I RAILROAD) AND CENTRAL AVENUE", be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That the zone classification of the following property be, and it is hereby, changed from M-1 General Industrial Zone to R-2 One Family Residential Zone: Beginning at a point in the center line of Pines Road 350 feet east of the east line of Central Avenue (36th Street); thence in a northerly direction making an interior angle with the center line of Pines Road of 89 decrees 27 minutes, and along the west line of the property of James R. Reeves 1286.5 feet to the west line of the Illinois Central Railroad right-of-way (P & I Railroad); thence in a southeasterly direction, along the west line of said right-of-way, to the center line of Pines Road; thence in a westerly direction along the center line of Pines Road to the point of beginning. SECTION 3. That the Paducah Zoning Ordinance -1961 and the Maps referred to in Section 14 thereof, be, and they are hereby, amended to the extent and in the respects necessary to effect and designate the change provided for in Section 2 hereof. SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereoi,"it..being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every sectional paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraph and provisions. SECTION 5.
