AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN LAND FROM COLE
LUMBER AND SUPPLY COMPANY, A KENTUCKY CORPORATION, FIXING THE PURCHASE
PRICE OF SAME, AND PROVIDING FOR THE TERMS AND PROVISIONS OF SUCH
PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, purchase from
Cole Lumber and Supply Company, a Kentucky Corporation, the follorting
described land in the Cite of Paducah, Kentucky;
Being Lots Nos. 1, 2, 3, L, 5, 6, 7 in Block No. 6
and Lots Nos. 8, 9, l0, 113 12, 13 and 14 in Block
No. 3 of the J. N. Bailey Addition to the City of
Faducah, Kentucky, as shown by plat recorded in Flat
Book A, page 231 in the office of the Clerk of
McCracken County. Each lot fronts L.S feet on South
22nd Street and extends back 160 feet.
Being the same land conveyed to Cole Lumber and Supply
Company, a Kentucky Corporation, by George T. Bailey
et al, by deed dated December 5, 1961, and of record
in Deed Book 429, page 573 in the McCracken County
Court Clerk's Office.
The purchase price to be paid for same shall be the sum of
$7,500.00, and upon receipt of a General warranty deed conveyinrr said
land to the City of Paducah, and approved by the Corporation Counsel,
the City Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to pay to said
Cole Lumber and Supply Companv, a Kentucky Corporation, the sum of
$7,500.00 to be charged to Account Number 7700.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on
file for public inspection for at least one week in the completed form
in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall
be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
