That Section. 1 of an ordinance containing the title quoted above, which was adopted on Aurust 5, 1952, and amended or. August 21, 1962, be, and the same is hereby amended and reordained so that said Section as amended and reordained shall read as follows: "SECTION 1. The number and rank of members of the Police Department of the City of Faducah and their monthly salaries, pro- vided said salaries are not chant -ed by an- annual apportionment ordinance adopted hereafter, shall be as follows: Position _ Number of Positions T-Ionthly Salary Chief of Police 1 1;500.00 First Assistant Chief of Police 1 1,20.00 Second Assistant Chief of Police 1 120.00 Chief Detective 1 420.00 Police Captain T: 380.00 Detective Lieutenant 1 350.00 Police Lieutenant 6 350.00 Sergeant 5 335.00 Sergeant Detective 2 335.00 Policemen LO 320.00 Provided, however, that any policeman hereafter appointed, during his first year of service shall receive a salary of 6295.00 per month and upon completion of a ,.-ear of satisfactory service as determined by the City 1.1,anager on recommendation of the Police Chief, his monthly salary shall be increased to `;'305.00 for the sedond year of service, and upon completion of a second «ear of satisfactory service as determined by the City 11"anager on recommendation of the Folice Chief, his monthly salary shall be increased to the sum of :320.00." `ECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are, to the eetent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION 3.
