AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: "AAI
ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE NUMBER, RANKS AND MONTHLY SALARIES OF THE
POLICE DEPARTMENT AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH",
WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON AUGUST 5, 1952,
AND AMENDED ON JUNE 28, 1966
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1_ That Section 1 of an ordinance containing the title
quoted above, which was adopted on Aupust 5, 1952, and amended on June
28, 1966, be, and the same is hereby amended and reordained so that
said section as amended and reordained shall read as follows:
"SECTION 1. The number and rank of members of the Police
Department of the City of Paducah and their monthly salaries, pro-
vided said salaries are not changed by any annual apportionment
ordinance hereafter adopted, shall be as follows:

The Chief of Police shall he paid at the rate of x'675.00 per
month for the first six months; at the expiration of six months $685.00
per month; at the expiration of one vear $695.00 per month and at the
expiration of two years 1705.00 per month, such increases to be made
upon recommendation of the City Manager.
The Second_ Assistant Chief shall be paid at the rate of $550.00
per month for the first six months; at the expiration of six months
$560.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $570.00 per month and
at the expiration of two vears $590.00 per month: such increases to
be made upon recommendation of the City Manaper.
The Chief of Detectives shall be paid at the rate of $550.00
per month for the first six months; at the expiration of six months
x'560.00 per month; at the expiration of one vear $570.00 per month and
at the expiration of two years $580.00 per month; such increases to
he made upon recommendation of the City ManaFer.
Captains shall be paid at the rate of $500.00 per month for the
first six months; at the expiration of six months $510.00 per month;
at the expiration of one year $520.00 per month and at the expiration

of two years $530.00 per month, such increases to he made upon
recommendation of the city Manager.
Lieutenants and Sergeants shall be paid at the rate of $460.00
per month for the first six months, at the expiration of six months
$470.00 per month and at the expiration of one year $480.00 per month,
such increases to be made upon recommendation of the City Manager.
Policemen shall be paid at the rate of $400.00 per month for the
first six months, at the expiration of six months $410.00 per month;
at the expiration of one year $420.00 per month; at the expiration of
two years $430.00 per month and at the expiration of three years $440.00
per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the City
Manager."
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after January 1, 1967.
