AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED:
"AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE NUMBER, RANKS AND MONTHLY SALARIES OF
THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH",
WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COTUVIISSIONERS ON DECEMBER 11, 1951,
AND AMENDED ON MARCH 22, 196(
BE IIP ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance containing the title
quoted above, which was adopted on December 11, 1951 and amended on
March 22, 1966, be, and the same is hereby amended and reordained so
that said section as amended and reordained shall read as follows:
"SECTION 1. The numher and rank of the members of the Fire De-
partment of the City of Paducah and their monthly salaries, provided
said salaries are not chanced by any annual apportionment ordinance
hereafter adopted shall be as follows:

Fire Chief 1. $675.00
Assistant Chief 3 540.00
Inspector 1 4-35.00
Fire Captain 19 475.00
Engineers 19 435.00
Firemen 42 385.00
The Chief of-the—Fire Department shall be paid at the rate of
$675.00 per month for the first six months; at the expiration of six
months $685.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $695,00 per
month and at the expiration of two years $705.00 per month, such
increases to be made upon recommendation of the City Manager.
Assistant Chiefs shall 1-e paid at the rate of $540.00 per month
for the first six months; at the expiration of six months :550.00 per
month; at the expiration of one vear $560.00 per month and at the
expiration of two years $5?0.00 per month, such increases to be made
upon recommendation of the City Manager.
Captains shall be paid at the rate of x'475.00 per month for the
first six months; at the expiration of six months $485.00 per month
and at the expiration of one year $495.00 per month, such increases
to be made upon recommendation of the City Manager.
The Inspector shall he paid at the rate of t435.00 per month for
the first six months, at the expiration of six months 9'44.5.00 per month
and at the expiration of one year ,('455.00 per month, such increases to
be made upon recommendation of the City Manager.

Engineers shall be paid at the rate Vf $435.00 per month .for
the first six months, at the expiration of six months $44.5.00 per month
and at the expiration of one year $455.00 per month, such increases to
be made upon recommendation of the City Manager.
Firemen shall be paid at the rate of $385.00 per month for the
first six months; at the expiration of six months 1,395.00 per month;
at the expiration of one year $405.00 per month; at the expiration of
two years $415.00 per month and at the expiration of three years $425.00
per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the City
Manager."
SECTION 2_ All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
hbrewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect on
and after January 1, 1967.
