HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 114, No Ordinance NumberAN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF SOWELL STREET AND HUGHES STREET AND A PORTION OF ALLEYS ADJACENT THERETO IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COI.7MISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the Citv of Paducah, Kentucky, does hereby authorize the closing of a certain portion of Sowell Street and Hughes Street and alleys adjacent thereto, situated in said city and described as follows:.. 1. All that portion of Sowell Street between the east line of Bethel Street and the City Limits. 2. All that portion of Hughes Street from the north line of the Beltline Highway and extending north- wardly across Sowell Street to the south line of an alley approximately 279 feet north of Sowell Street. 3. A fifteen foot alley extending from the east line of Bethel Street to the City Limits, being parallel to and approximately 279 feet north of Sowell Street. 4. A fifteen foot alley between Bethel Street and Hughes Street extending approximately 279 feet northwardly from the north line of Sowell Street to the south line of the last mentioned alley. 5, A .fifteen foot alley between Bethel Street and Hughes Street extending from the north line of the Beltline Highway to the south line of Sowell Street. SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be, and he is hereby, authorized and empowered to institute and prosecute, pursuant to KRS 94.360, an action in the McCracken Circuit Court for a ,judgment ordering the closing of the streets and allevs described in Section 1 hereof. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption. C.
