HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 1104, No Ordinance NumberAN ORDIINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR ARID CI^lY CLERK TO EXECUTE A DEED FROM THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE PADUCAH :TATER WORKS, TO THE ELECTRIC PLAINT BOARD OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, 0/0/a PADUCAH POWER SYSTEM BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIOINERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1, That pursuant to a Resolution adopted by the Board of Commissioners of hater Works of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, requesting the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky to authorize the sale of the property descri*ed below to the Electric Plant Board of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, d/b/a Paducah Power System, for the purchase price of $10,000.00, the Deal.=or and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute, on }ehalf of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for and on behalf of Paducah 'later Works, a deed to the,Electric Plant Board of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, d/b/a Faducah'Power System, conveVi n the.followinr described property: "Lying.• and rein on the northerly side of Kentucky Avenue between 12th and 15th Streets, in the City of Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky, and 'rerinninp at a point- on the northerly side of Kentucky Avenue at the southeast corner of a tract of land conveyed to the Kentucky Utilities Company ly the Paducah Railway Company on February 23, 192(, Lv deed of record in Deed Book 119, page 242, McCracken County Court Clerk's Office; runs thence with the east line of the Kentucky Utilities Compan7 lot a distance of One Hun- dred Seventy-three (113) feet Three (3) inches to a point in the center line'of the 'lock and in the line of the property of the Kentucky Utilities Company; runs thence eastwardly and parallel with the northerly line of "entuck- Avenue a distance of Fift—one (51) feet to a stake; runs thence southwardly and parallel with the east line of the Kentucky Utilities Company prop- erty a distance of One Hundred Seventy-three (173) feet Three (3) inches more or less to a stake on the north side of Kentucky Avenue; thence westwardly along• and with the northerly line of Yentuckv Avenue a dis- tance of fifty -one -(51) feet to the place of beginning." Being the same property conveyed to City of Paducah, Kentucky, :for and on lebalf of Paducah Water Works, Municipally owned, by Dalton Woodall and wife, Charlotte Woodall, Kv deed dated NII 21, 1962, and recorded in Deed Rook. 01, pa Re 591:, in,the McCracken County Court Clerk's office. SECTICE 2. Said deed shall be executed upon payment of the aforesaid sat of *10,000 ly the said grantee to the said Paducah Water Works, and said deed shall provide that it is without any warranty as to title and that it is subiect to anV state of facts which mirl-t ie shown by an accurate survey, —.
