"AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE NUMBER, RANKS AMD MONTHLY SALARIES OF
THE FIRE DEPARTLIENT AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH",
:9HICH ^IAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON DECEMBER 11, 1951,
AND AMENDED ON MARCH 28, 1961
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance containing the title
quoted above, which was adopted on December 11, 1951, and amended on
March 2$, 1961, be, and the same is hereby amended and reorddined to
that said section as amended and reordained shall read as follows:
"SECTION 1. The number and rank of the members of the Fire
Department of the City of Paducah and their monthly salaries, provided

said salaries are not changed by any annual apportionment ordinance I_v,4,/1/6,3
hereafter adopted shall be as follows:

Fire Chief 1 $500.00
Assistant Chief 2 380.00
Fire Prevention Inspector 2 According to Rank
Fire Captains 10 350.00
Fire Lieutenants 10 335.00
Engineers 12 320.00
Fire Alarm Operators
Same Rank as Firemen) 1, 335.00
Firemen 38 305.00
Provided, however, that any fireman hereafter appointed, during
his first year of service shall receive a salary of (;280.00 per month
and upon completion of a year of satisfactory service as determined by
the City Manager on recommendation of the Fire Chief, his monthly
salary shall be increased to $290.00 for the second year of service, and
upon completion_ of the second year of satisfactory service as determined
by the City Panae;er on recommendation of the Fire Chief, his monthly
salary shall be increased to the sum of $x.305.00." I
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This oil.dinance shall be in full force and effect on
and after February 1, 1963.
