HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 1092, No Ordinance Number1092 AN ORDINANCE EXTENDIItG THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY BY ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING ADJACENT TO THE NORTH CORPORATE LIMITS OF SAID CITY, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF SAID PROPERTY TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN SAID CORPORATE LIMITS WHEREAS, under an ordinance adopted September 20, 1966, the City of Paducah, Kentucky, by and through its Board of Commissioners, proposed to extend the boundary of the City by annexing certain property adjacent to the north corporate limits of same, which property is hereinafter more particularly described, and WHEREAS said ordinance proposing such annexation and declaring the desirability and necessity of same has been published in the Sun Democrat, a newspaper published and distributed in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, as provided and required by Section 424.130 of Kentucky Revised Statutes, and WHEREAS a period of more than thirty (30) days has elapsed since the enactment and publication of said ordinance, and WHEREAS no petition or complaint has been filed in the McCracken Circuit Court protesting such extension of the corporate limits of said City. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONTERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1_ That the hereinafter described property lying adjacent to the north corporate limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be annexed to said City, the same being more particularly described as follows: Beeinnina at a point on the north side of the Hinkleville Road where the east line of a 30 foot- lane, entrance into Stuart A:elson Park intersects the north line of said road, said point being in the present city limits line; thence in a northerly direction with the east line of said lane, 1998 -feet, more or less; thence at a right deflection angle of 90 degrees 09 minutes in an easterly direction 60 feet to a stone; thence at an interior angle of 89 de-rees 25 minutes in a northerly direction 461.2 feet; thence at an interior angle of 118 degrees 57 minutes in a north westerly direction 699.7 feet; thence at an interior angle of 259 degrees 24 minutes in a northeasterly direction 1072 feet, more or less to the southeast corner of lot 14, Block "E", Strathmoor Addition, recorded in Flat Book "A", Page 2�.0; thence north 65 degrees Nest 99 feet; thence south 64 degrees 57 minutes west 132 feet; thence north 75 decrees west 261, feet; thence south 25 degrees !!5 minutes west 19" feet; thence south 12 degrees west 231 feet-; thence north 59 decrees west 181.5 feet; thence south 78 de-rees west 1F= feet; thence north 1.1 der-rees west 387.8 feet to Legeay's line and the west line of Stuart Nelson Park; thence with the west line of Stuart Nelson Park in a southerly direction 1r0r feet, more or less; thence at an interior anmle of 102 degrees 0Q minutes in a southeasterly direction 1396.0 feet, more or less to the west line of a 36 .foot lane; thence at a right deflection angle of 62 degrees 28 minutes in a southerly direction and with the west line of the 36 .foot lane 1880.c feet, more or less to the north line of the Hinkleville Road; thence in an easterly direction with the north line of the Hinkleville Road and with the present cite limits line a distance of 36 feet t.o the point of hef�innirg. 1093 SUCTION 2.
