OF McCRACKEN RESPECTING THE FORMATION OF A JOINT PLAidNING UNIT ,9ITHIN
THE PURVIEW 0: CHAPTER 100 OF THE KENTUCKY REVISED STATUTES
dHEREAS the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah
have determined that the formation of the Joint Planning Unit with
the County of McCracken, Kentucky, as authorized bar Chapter 100 of
the Kentucky Revised Statutes as amended, effective June lo, 1966,
would be desirable and would he within the nest interest of the
citizens both of said City and of said County, and
WHEREAS by Resolution adopted on June lf, 1966 by the Board of
Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, the said City
interrogated the County of McCracken in respect to the formation of
said unit, to which interrogation no response was received, and
l:'HEREAS by letter dated August L,,, 1966 the County of McCracken,
Kentucky, interrogated. the Cite respecting the formation of such a unit,
to which interrogation the City responded her a Resolution of the Board
of Commissioners adopted on August 12, 1966, and
WHEREAS the Board of Commissioners of the Cite of Paducah,
Kentucky, still is of the opinion that in the best interest of the
citizens of all of the County of McCracken, including the residents
of the City of Paducah, Kentuckv, a ,joint planning* unit should be
formed, and the City of Paducah is willing and desirous of the establishi
of same, and
WHEREAS the City of Paducah in an effort to resolve differences
between the City of Paducah and the County of ficCracken has redrafted
its original proposed agreement so as to more nearly conform to the
expressed desires of the County of P•icCracken.
NOid THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COP-'I'+"IISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky shall forthwith
interrogate the Counter of McCracken, Kentucky, concerning its
willingness to establish a Joint Planning Unit within the purview of
said Statute, under the terms and conditions of an Agreement in the
form of the copy hereto attached.
SECTION 2. That such interrogation shall be accomplished by
the certification of a copy of this Resolution and a copy of said
Agreement to the County Judge of McCracken County and to the Fiscal
Court of said County by the City Clerk.
SECTION._2. That the Mayor of the City of Paducah, Kentucky shall

SECTION 4. That this Resolution shall be in full .force and effect
from and after its adoption.
