HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 1054, No Ordinance NumberAN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING A BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE OPERATION OF A MUNICIPAL COLLEGE IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON NOVEMBER 6, 1939, AND AMENDED ON DECEMBER 8, 1964 WHEREAS a vacancy in the membership of the Board of Trustees of the Paducah Junior College has been created by the resignation of Roy Vance, and it being necessary to fill said vacancy, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance containing the title quoted above, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on November 6, 1939, and amended on December 8, 1964, be amended so that said section as amended shall read as follows: "SECTION 1. That George Crounse be appointed a member of the Board of Trustees of the Paducah Junior College to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Roy Vance, so that said Board of Trustees (appointed by the City) as now constituted shall be composed of John G. Russell, Brady M. Stewart, T. S. Waller, W. A. Conway, Marshall E. Nemer, Dr. Leon Higdon, Howard Z. Gray, Ed Trevathan, William A. Feiler, Beasley Vaughn, Jack Rottgering and George Crounse. Said Board of Trustees shall control the municipal college in the City of Paducah which has been established pursuant to the provisions of KRS 165.160 to 165.200, and are to have all the powers given to them pursuant to the provisions of said statutes." SECTION.2, This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
