HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 1048, No Ordinance Number10L8 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK, CITY TREASURER AND AN EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF PEOPLES FIRST NATIONAL BANK AND TRUST COMPANY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, TRUSTEE, TO DESTROY THE FOUR HUNDRED INDUSTRIAL BUILDING REVENUE BONDS IN THE AMOUNT OF ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS EACH, ISSUED UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF AN ORDINANCE ADOPTED ON AUGUST 3, 1965 BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY WHEREAS on August 3, 1965 the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah,.Kentucky, adopted an ordinance authorizing the issuance of four bundred.industrial building revenue bonds in the amount of One -Thousand Dollars each, for.the acquisition of a building for Reliance Diecasting.Company under Chapter 103 of Kentucky Revised Statutes, said property to be acquired being known as Big Burley Mart, and WHEREAS said bonds were printed and signed by the Mayor and City Clerk but have not been signed by_any officer of Peoples First National Bank and Trust Company of Paducah, Kentucky, Trustee, and are now in the possession of said bank, and WHEREAS before a sale of the bonds could be consummated the Big Burley property, was destroyed by fire and said bonds are now void -and of no value, but in the opinion of_the Board of Commissioners should be destroyed.._, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City.Clerk, City Treasurer and an executive officer of the Peoples First National Bank and Trust Company, Trustee, be, and they are hereby, authorized to,destroy the four hundred Industrial Buildinp.Revenue_Bonds in the amount of One Thousand Dollars each, issued under the provisions of an ordinance adopted on August 3, 1965 by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, which bonds were issued for .the purpose of acquiring an industrial building for Reliance Diecasting Company, known as Big Burley Mart. SECTION 2. After the bonds have been destroyed as authorized in Section 1 hereor, the said persons named in said section are hereby requested to certify to the Board of Commissioners that the bonds have been destroyed. SECTION 3.
