HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 1042, No Ordinance Number1042 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF THE FEDERAL MATERIALS COMPANY FOR FURNISHING THE CITY WITH ITS REQUIREMENT OF READY MIX CONCRETE FOR A PERIOD OF SIX MONTHS, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR SAME BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the bid of The Federal Materials Company for furnishing ready mix concrete to the City of Paducah for a period of six months be accepted, at the base price of $14.50 per cubic yard on five bag concrete, and $0.50 per cubic yard for each one-half bag additional cement content. Such concrete to have the same specifications as set forth in the resolution adopted by the Board of Commissioners of said City on August 9, 1966, authorizing the City Manager to request bids. SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract, on behalf of the City, for the purchase of the concrete as set out in Section 1 hereof for a period of six months from the date of such contract. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
