HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 1027, No Ordinance Number1027 AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY BY ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING ADJACENT TO THE WEST CORPORATE LIMITS OF SAID CITY, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF SAID PROPERTY TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN SAID CORPORATE LIMITS WHEREAS, under an ordinance adopted June 2$, 1966, the City of Paducah, Kentucky, by and through its Board of Commissioners, proposed to extend the boundary of the City by annexing certain property adjacent to the west corporate limits of same, which property is hereinafter more particularly described, and WHEREAS said ordinance proposing such annexation and declaring the desirability and necessity of same has been published in the Sun Democrat, a newspaper published and distributed in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, as provided and required by Section 424.130 of Kentucky Revised Statutes, and WHEREAS a period of more than thirty (30) days has elapsed since the enactment and publication of said ordinance, and WHEREAS no petition or complaint has been filed in the McCracken Circuit Court protesting such extension of the corporate limits of said City. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described property lying adJacent to the west corporate limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be annexed to said City, the same being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point in the present city limits line said point being; where the west property line of Bellevue Drive if extended would intersect the north property line of Phillips Avenue; thence in a westerly direction and with the north property line of Phillips Avenue £19 feet, more or less, to the east line of Lot "C" in the resubdivision of part of Lots 4 and S in Orchard Heights Subdivision, as shown by plat of record in Plat Book "G", Page 50, McCracken County Court Clerk's Office; thence in a northerly direction with the east line of Lot "C" 259.3 feet to the northeast corner of Lot "C"; thence in a westerly direction and with the north line of Lot "C", 50 feet to the southeast corner of Lot "A" in the same subdivision as shown recorded above; thence in a northerly direction and with the east line of Lot "A", 213.95 feet to the south property line of Minnich Avenue; thence in a westerly direction and with the south property line of Minnich Avenue 200 feet to the northwest corner of Lot- "B"; thence in a southerly direction and with the west line of Lot "B" 213.95 feet to a point in the southwest corner of Lot "B", said point also being in the north line of Lot "E"; thence in a westerly direction and with the north line of Lot "E", Lot "F" and Lot "G", 200 feet to the northwest corner of Lot "G"; thence in a southerly direction and with the west line of Lot "G" 263.09 feet to the north property line of Phillips Avenue; thence in a westerly direction and with the north property line of Phillips Avenue 980 feet, more or less, to a point where the present city limits located south of Phillips Avenue would, if extended northerly across Phillips Avenue, intersect the north property line of Phillips Avenue; thence southerly and with the extension of said existing city limits line to the south property line of Phillips Avenue; thence easterly with the south property line of Phillips Avenue, the present- city limits line 1500.76 feet to the west property line of Bellevue Drive; thence in a northerly direction and with the west property line of Bellevue Drive extended to the point of be. -inning. 1028 SECTIOA' 2.
