HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 1017, No Ordinance Number101 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF PADUCAH RECAPPING SERVICE FOR FURNISHING THE CITY OF PADUCAH WITH ITS REQUIREMENT OF NEW AUTOMOBILE AND TRUCK TIRES FOR THE PERIOD OF TINS FROM AUGUST 1, 1966 TO JULY 31, 1967, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AND EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the bid of Paducah Recappinp Service for furnishing the City with its requirement of new automobile and truck tires for the period of time from Aup-ust 1, 1966 to Julv 31, 1967, under the following terms and conditions: The tires so furnished shall be first line new tires, manufactured by the Seiberlinp Rubber Compsny with current manufacturer's tread, and the price for such tires shall be the net price to the Commonwealth of Kentucky, less discounts of 101,17,, 5% and 3%. All purchases shall be subject to the 3% Kentucky Sales Tax. The Citv Manager is herebv authorized to enter into and execute a contract for the purchase of said tires under said terms and conditions. SECTION 2. Nothine in this ordinance or the contract authorized herein shall preclude the City of Paducah from purchasine used tires or civil defense surplus tires from any source other than the herein Paducah Recapping Service. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced at a meeting of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one'(1) week for.puhlic inspection in.the completed form in which'it shall be put upon its .final passage, and.if adopted shall be in :Pull force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
