AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF PRESLEY PLUMBING & HEATING
COMPANY, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $57,324.30 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
SEWERAGE EXTENSIONS FOR THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, CONTRACT C-1966,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE, ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY, A
CONTRACT FOR SUCH CONSTRUCTION, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
OF SUCH CONTRACT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, subject to the
conditions hereinafter set out, accept the bid of Presley Plumbing &
Heating- Company, Inc. in the amount of $57,324.30 for the construction
of sewerage extensions, Contract C-1966, subject to all the terms and
conditions contained in the documents on which said bidder based its
bid for construction, such documents having been prepared by Edward T.
Hannan. & Associates, Inc. of Paducah, Kentucky, entitled "Specifications
for the Construction of Sewerage Extensions, Contract C-1966 for the
City of Paducah, Kentucky".
SECTION 2. Acceptance of the bid of Presley Plumbing & Heating
Company, Inc. as set out in Section 1 hereof, shall be conditioned
upon the proper execution of all contract documents by said bidder.
SECTION 3. Upon the approval by the Corporation Counsel of
all bonds and contract documents in connection herewith, the City Manager
of the said City is hereby authorized to execute said Contract for and
or, behalf of said City.
SECTION 4. All sums of money to he paid to the aforesaid Presley
Plumbing & Heating Company, Inc. shall he paid .from the proper funds
provided for by the issuance and sale of $600,000.00 Sewer Revenue Bonds
of said City, Series of 1965.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file
for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form
in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall
be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
